Guy and Dennis Van Rompaey, two brothers, run a horticultural business together since 2005. Their passion for horticulture was passed on to them by their father.
Their main product is vine tomatoes. In their search for expansion they decided, to not only grow standard vine tomatoes, but also Coeur de boeuf. This is an old fashioned heirloom tomato with an unique ribbed shape that ripens from the inside out. These Coeur de boeuf tomatoes are traded under the Specials label.
Besides tomatoes, the two brothers have started their business in kiwi berries in 2010. This little member of the kiwi family has a soft and smooth edible skin and is available in September and October.
This variation in crop means careful planning to get all the work done. Numerous activities take place on a daily basis, like harvesting, staff planning, crop maintenance, and the following up of orders and deliveries.
Some relaxation is also necessary. Guy and Dennis both love to play squash and racketlon.
