Hi, we’re Lu Adriaensen and Els Wynants, and together we grow both strawberries and cherries for Coöperatie Hoogstraten.

Pruning trees, applying leaf feed ... there’s no shortage of jobs for everyone in the orchard. Our three children, Koen, Dorien and Karen, occasionally lend a hand too. When Els and I get a bit of free time, we enjoy a bike ride or going for a walk.

Ever since it was founded, Coöperatie Hoogstraten has been well-known for its strawberries, but in recent years other fruit varieties such as berries and cherries have been gaining in popularity. In our quest for diversification, we came to cherries. They are the perfect partner to growing strawberries and a wonderful product to cultivate. Our strawberries are all grown under cover and harvested ripe. They are available from the end of June to the beginning of August, and perfect as a healthy snack. 

We fully identify with the Hoogstraten philosophy: quality is also very close to our heart and we firmly believe in the stringent standards we have set ourselves. It means only the finest fruit makes it to your plates. Enjoy!
